Set up your virtual environment

uv venv --python 3.12
source .venv/bin/activate

uv venv --python 3.12

Install dependencies

uv pip install -U agno sqlalchemy psycopg pgvector

Run PgVector

docker run -d \
  -e POSTGRES_DB=ai \
  -e POSTGRES_USER=ai \
  -e POSTGRES_PASSWORD=ai \
  -e PGDATA=/var/lib/postgresql/data/pgdata \
  -v pgvolume:/var/lib/postgresql/data \
  -p 5532:5432 \
  --name pgvector \
  agno/pgvector:16

Run the script

python markdown_chunking.py

Parameter	Type	Default	Description
`chunk_size`	`int`	`5000`	The maximum size of each chunk.
`overlap`	`int`	`0`	The number of characters to overlap between chunks.
